OK this is getting a little annoying! Now I have "installed" photostory on my laptop, but when I try to run it. It says the administrator has blocked installation of this blah blah and it won't work! Plan be is to try the home computer, but isn't the point to be able to use this cool program with kids at school?? How am I supposed to do that if I can't get the thing to install!
Somthing about System Administrator Policies???

PhotoStory is already on the district laptop...
Start...Programs...applications
That is one reason you were having problems
the other is ...remember there is a special sign on for downloading programs...you use it only when you add things, but you don't need to add photostory!
your home computer probably has a microphone...most computers do...usually is a tiny (and I mean tiny) little hole located probably on the edge of the monitor if it is a desk top model?
Installing on our district computers does sometimes pose a road block - very annoying, but once that hurdle is passed, the rest of the activity is worth the wait. Photostory is a perfect example. Did you ever have success working with it on your home computer? Hope so - it can be such fun software, opening a door to creativity that is limited only by what your students put into it. Their imagination always seems to surpass mine tenfold.
